Located in a pedestrian-friendly area with diverse viewpoints, the abstract aluminum sculpture, named Ghillie Dhu's Enchantment, glistens as a tree-like form at rest and comes alive with magical and irregular gliding movements when the breeze sets its branches in motion. The title pays homage to the Scottish folklore guardian spirit of trees, connecting to Gastonia's Scottish roots.
