Creatures of the Sun is a surf- and psych-inspired garage rock trio from Charlotte, NC. Founded by Garrett Ballard (vocals, guitar) , and joined by Ben Fortenberry (bass) and James Mozina (drums) , COTS is set to release their self-titled debut album in August 2026 through indie label Charlotte Court Records. Creatures of the Sun was voted Best New Band by Queen City Nerve readers in 2025.
