Kick off the day at 9:00 AM at Goat Island Park Dog Park, 305 Greenwood Pl., Belmont, NC 28012, where we will officially open the new dog park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Bring your family, friends, and furry companions to enjoy giveaways and fun activities for both dogs and their humans! Later, from 9 AM to 12 PM at Town Hall, participate in our Free Community Document Shredding Event by Shred-it, promoting identity theft prevention and sustainability. Safely dispose of sensitive documents like financial papers, receipts, and more. These events are part of our Arbor Day festivities, which also include a fishing derby, tree planting ceremony, snacks, crafts, a book swap, and a documentary viewing at the Centennial Center.
