LitFlix is a bi-monthly book club that discusses book to film adaptations. Purchase a ticket for the featured book and pick it up anytime before the meeting. While it's not mandatory, we highly recommend that you read the book prior to the meeting. At each meeting, we'll dive into the original book text and compare it to key scenes from the film adaptation. Expect a lot of fun, plenty of laughs, and interesting conversations about how the book was likely better as we explore the differences, similarities, and decision making that went into the film adaptation. Oh, did we mention free popcorn!? March's Adaptation:Fight Club by Chuck PalahniukChuck Palahniuk showed himself to be his generation’s most visionary satirist in this, his first book. Fight Club’s estranged narrator leaves his lackluster job when he comes under the thrall of Tyler Durden, an enigmatic young man who holds secret after-hours boxing matches in the basements of bars. There, two men fight "as long as they have to. " This is a gloriously original work that exposes the darkness at the core of our modern world.
