The Gaston Symphonic Band will join forces with the Gaston String Orchestra on Fri., Apr. 17, to present a free concert from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Gaston First Assembly of God, 777 S. Myrtle School Rd. in Gastonia. Expect more than 100 local musicians to perform classical hits that are evocative of spring, from a stirring overture by Beethoven to a lilting Irish Suite. This free performance is great fun for the entire family.
