Daniel Stowe Conservancy is a 380-acre nonprofit nature preserve nestled on the shores of Lake Wylie in Belmont, NC, just 20 miles from Uptown Charlotte. Open to the public seven days a week, the Conservancy serves as a community backyard and gateway to nature—offering gardens, forests, trails, and lakeside experiences designed to inspire exploration and connection. At its heart lies the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, a regional landmark established in 1999 and the Conservancy’s crown jewel. All funding from visitors, members, and donors is reinvested into preserving the land's natural beauty and enhancing outdoor learning and community-building. Daniel Stowe Conservancy invites everyone to discover their own path to nature.
