The Schiele Museum of Natural History

The Schiele Museum of Natural History is only one of 70 museums in the U.S. designated as an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution and features the largest collection of mounted land mammals in the Southeast. Experience galleries with vivid natural history exhibits, an 18th Century Farm, planetarium,  nature trail, live animal enclosures and many other interactive exhibits. Fun for all ages!


Beautiful spaces within the museum and planetarium provide a unique location for your next event.

A gathering beneath the stars in the planetarium can certainly give things a dreamy twist, but a soirée at the feet of the T. rex makes for an event of truly epic proportions! From corporate breakfasts nestled in North Carolina habitats to romantic outdoor weddings on the farm, and even children's birthday parties, The Schiele Museum is the go-to place for unique and inviting spaces.
