GIS Day is a worldwide event celebrating Geographic Information Systems (GIS) on the third Wednesday of November.
Inspired by Ralph Nader, his goal today is to spread awareness of GIS and geography. GIS Day is dedicated to showing, teaching, and inspiring others.
GIS Day 2025 is dedicated to inspiring and equipping young minds with the power of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). It’s about more than maps—it’s about fostering spatial thinking, problem-solving, and innovation to tackle real-world challenges. By introducing students and emerging professionals to GIS technology, we empower them to understand their world, make data-driven decisions, and create sustainable solutions for the future.
This year our all ages event is being hosted by the City of Mount Holly. Join Information Technology, select county departments and other local agencies at the Grand Hall to discover why location-driven insights are essential in today’s data-driven world.
