This Juneteenth, visit Gaston County to not only commemorate an important date in American history, but to also celebrate African-American culture.
Friday, June 17th
At Centennial Park in downtown Bessemer City they will be celebrating their 4th annual Juneteenth Celebration with live music, dancing, entertainment. There will also be food and activities for children. This will be a great opportunity to connect with people in the community.
Saturday & Sunday June 18th - 19th Rotary Centennial Pavilion
EbonyFest Juneteenth Festival in Gastonia will be a two day event at the Rotary Pavilion in downtown Gastonia and will feature a youth summit with luncheon and a basketball tournament for teens. A family fun parade and fireworks are also planned. There will also be fun activities at the kids corner, food trucks, vendors and more. Saturday June 18th
Elements of Empowerment, Inc. returns to Stowe Park, in Historic Downtown Belmont, Saturday, June 18th for a day of festivities. This cultural festival with arts, crafts, food and more will be fun for the whole family and feature live music throughout the day with a final concert in the evening. Smoke and Barrel
We can’t wait for our first Juneteeth Celebration at Smoke and Barrel in Mount Holly. They will have vendors, food and live music throughout the day from 2pm to 9pm. Vendors include; Tonya Jeter Ross, Michael Noelle Leatherworks, GTG Cigar Club, Aj and the Cool Kids, RTB Cigars and Smoked The Collection. Live music from DJ Sheila B (3-6pm), Boogie's Smoke Shop (2-5pm), Buff Dillard Music (7-10PM), This Right Here (6-9pm).
