Is there anything better than Christmas in a small town? To help you celebrate the holidays, we’ve put together a list of all the Christmas parades and tree lighting ceremonies in Gaston County. Que the sleigh bells then sip hot chocolate as the holiday season begins in Christmas County this year.

Join us as Downtown Belmont and Stowe Park are filled with a display of festive trees for all to enjoy throughout the month of December.

An annual tradition marching through historic downtown, the Belmont Christmas Parade steps into the holiday spirit with festive floats, antique cars, area school marching bands and Santa Claus! Enjoy an afternoon in Belmont. The parade route begins on S. Main Street and continues onto Catawba Street - ending at the Dwight Frady Fields.

The official start of Christmas Town USA On the Plaza, in front of the Pharr Family YMCA. The switch will be pulled at 6:00 pm by a student from McAdenville Elementary School
Dec 02 | Cramerton We will celebrate Christmas in Cramerton with our annual Christmas Parade on 8th Avenue and we will cap off the evening with the lighting of our Town Tree.
Dec 02 | Lowell
Please join us in downtown Lowell for the City's official Tree Lighting Ceremony! We will meet in the grassy lot across the road from City Hall. Help us kick off the holiday season!

Friday evening, December 3rd Rain Date - Saturday December 4th Hayrides rides down Main & Elm Streets Santa Claus will be at Home Trust Bank Merchants will be open until 9 pm.
Dec 04 | Kings Mountain
Christmas magic returns to Kings Mountain this holiday season, and we can't wait to celebrate with you! Kick-off the holidays on Saturday, December 4th at 3:00pm with our Christmas Parade, then make plans to attend our evening festivities, continuing every Saturday leading up to Christmas.

Join the Downtown Belmont Development Association for our annual Christmas Village on December 4th from 5:00 - 9:00 PM. Enjoy holiday offerings from our downtown businesses, horse-drawn carriage rides, carolers, photos with Santa, and even a carousel ride!
Dec 05 | Gastonia The event will feature Santa, food trucks, vendors, and more! Free entertainment includes juggling elves, face painting, writing letters to Santa (Santa will be writing back!), pictures with Santa, winter themed inflatables, and an inflatable snow globe picture opportunity.

Everything a good parade has to offer; Floats, Bands, Clowns, Dancers, SANTA CLAUS, and much, much more.

The event will feature time period related crafts, letters to Santa, old fashion candy will be for sale in the General Store, live Christmas music, s'mores around the fire, pictures with Father Christmas "Santa", candle dipping, kid's games with the Dallas History Museum, and a horse carriage ride!
Dec 11 | Lowell
Join us for our Annual Christmas Parade! We will have some sweets and concessions vendors downtown across from City Hall! Afterwards, join us downtown near the City's Christmas tree for some caroling!
Dec 15 | Stanley
Parade starts at Carothers Funeral Home and ends at Stanley Middle School.
Dec 16 | McAdenville
Each year, residents and visitors follow the Yule Log which is pulled by children on a sled through town to Legacy Park located on Elm Street in downtown McAdenville.
