The Gaston Multicultural Arts Xperience, or Gaston MAX, will return to Downtown Gastonia for the second year in a row. The festival will be Saturday, March 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rotary Centennial Pavilion, 107 N. South St., Gastonia, NC 28052. The family-friendly event is free and open to all.
Gaston MAX is a collaboration between Gaston County Public Library, the Friends of the Gaston County Public Library, Gaston County Government, and the City of Gastonia. It showcases art, music, literature, and culture. This is the third year of the festival, after it began as a virtual experience during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, before debuting in person in 2022.
“We are so excited about this year’s festival,” said Dandria Bradley, Gaston County’s Deputy Communications Director and co-chair of the Gaston MAX Planning Committee. “We will be introducing a couple of up-and-coming artists, as well as some fan favorites.”
Similar to 2022, this year’s festival will feature live performances, story times, food trucks, a beer garden, and more.
