Now that the days are shorter and colder, it can be tempting to want to hibernate, but that just wouldn't be any fun. So, here is a list of things to do this winter to either keep you warm and toasty along with places where you can bundle up and make the most of the cooler temperatures this winter in Gaston County.

Brave the cold with a 5k and 10k trail race which is then followed by a plunge into cold water at Whitewater Center’s Frigid Trail Race Plunge. Most land activities are open on the weekends through the winter, depending on weather conditions.

Meet incredible prehistoric beasts from the Mesozoic Era, or go on a fantastic journey to explore the wild cats of our world.
