Goat Island Games

Our annual Goat Island Games is back for 2021 and we are ready to party. Come join us for a full day filled with events open to the whole family. Events include; free riverside yoga, free adult and youth fishing tournament, 5K race 5 Miler race, Mountain bike ride, Disc Golf Tourney, Kayaking, Ping Pong, Cornhole, Live Music, Food, and more!

Just Plain dog Show!
May 7th | Dallas Park
Join us for the 50th Anniversary of the Just Plain dog Show! The Just Plain Dog Show is for all ages (6 years and older as long as they can control the dog) are eligible to participate, we will have two age groups for each event: 17 and under and 18+. There is no admission or entry fee. All dogs must be tagged and have a current rabies vaccination.

RiverFest
May 14th | Kevin Loftin Riverfront Park
RiverFest is a family-friendly festival held on the banks of the Catawba River in Belmont, NC. The day will be action-packed with fun for the whole family with live music, food trucks, local, craft beer, educational activities for kids, kayaking (8 and up for single kayaks, 4 & up to ride along in a tandem), local vendors, artisans and a raffle.

Red Bull /USA Pump Track Championship Qualifiers and Bike Fest
May 20-22 | George Poston Park
Join us for 3 great events packed into one weekend on a highly technical Velosolutions Pump Track at George Poston Park in Lowell, North Carolina. This inverted symmetrical track is ideal for head-to-head racing as well as straight-through riding. Gaston County Parks & Recreation will be hosting the annual BIKEFEST all weekend with a live DJ, music, food trucks, beverages, local bike shop vendors, bike demos, trail rides, and more!

Memorial Day Celebration
May 29th | US National Whitewater Center
Start the holiday with a Saturday morning race through the Whitewater Center’s trail system to go with pass activities and yoga. Enjoy live music throughout the weekend. Entrance to this festival is free. Just pay for parking $6.
