We can't wait to kick off our 2026 farmers' market season on Saturday, April 25 with a special grand opening event! Be sure to arrive by 10:00 am to participate in a Painted butterfly release. We will have a variety of giveaways and activities for market shoppers of all ages including: *Free tomato plants and planting guides provided by the Cleveland County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee (while they last) *Free Japanese maple seedlings provided by the Extension Master Gardener Association of Cleveland County (while they last) *Educational programs & displays on honeybees and other pollinators *Free giveaways including seeds, foam butterflies, and butterfly tattoos *Hands-on craft activity for POP Club kids - Grass Head Buddies, a fun art activity for kids that combines creativity and learning *Giveaways for kids & adults from Albemarle Corporation, our 2026 Season Presenting Sponsor *Announcement of winners from the kid’s coloring contest, sponsored by Mauney Memorial Library, Albemarle Corporation, and Cleveland County Farm Bureau *Launch of the Extension Master Gardener plastic film recycling challenge (this project will continue onsite all season) Our market will operate from 8am until 12pm every Saturday, April 25 through September 26.
