LitFlix is a bi-monthly book club that discusses book to film adaptations. Purchase a ticket for the featured book and pick it up anytime before the meeting. While it's not mandatory, we highly recommend that you read the book prior to the meeting.  At each meeting, we'll dive into the original book text and compare it to key scenes from the film adaptation. Expect a lot of fun, plenty of laughs, and interesting conversations about how the book was likely better as we explore the differences, similarities, and decision making that went into the film adaptation. Oh, did we mention free popcorn!? November's Adaptation:The Dead Zone by Stephen KingThe #1 New York Times bestseller and “frightening” (The New York Times) thriller about a clairvoyant man who must weigh his options when he sees the terrible future awaiting mankind—now featuring a stunning vintage cover! When Johnny Smith was six years old, head trauma caused by a bad ice-skating accident left him with a nasty bruise on his forehead and, from time to time, those hunches…infrequent but accurate snippets of things to come. But it isn’t until Johnny’s a grown man—now having survived a horrifying auto injury that plunged him into a coma lasting four-and-a-half years—that his special abilities really push to the fore.
