Join the City of Bessemer City for our 7th annual Juneteenth Festival in Centennial Park on Friday, June 13th from 6 – 10 PM. This year featuring live entertainment from "SongBird" of Charlotte, Drums 4 Life (Kojo Bey), history lessons, food trucks, vendors, and activities for children. ALL are welcomed and encouraged to attend this event.

EbonyFest Parade & Festival
On Saturday, June 14, from 2 PM to 8 PM, the festivities will take place at Rotary Centennial Pavilion in Downtown Gastonia. The highlight of the day is the 4th Annual Parade, which kicks off at 3 PM. Visitors can enjoy live music and more, making it a memorable start to the festival.
Aunt Charlotte McClee Community Garden
On Tuesday, June 17, from 9 AM to 12 PM, the festival continues at Aunt Charlotte McClee Community Garden, located at 604 N York St in Gastonia. Teens will have the opportunity to harvest and cook fresh produce from the garden while learning about food justice, culture, and the significance of Juneteenth. Participants will receive free T-shirts, recipe cards, and a healthy meal.
EbonyFest Festival & Fireworks
On Thursday, June 19, from 6 PM to 10 PM, the festival wraps up at Rotary Centennial Pavilion in Downtown Gastonia. The evening promises more live music and activities, culminating in a spectacular Fireworks Finale at 9:30 PM. It’s the perfect way to close out this exciting celebration of community and heritage.
Free tickets for all festival events are available on Eventbrite, with ticket holders automatically entered for Juneteenth prize giveaways. Free Teen Farm-to-Table Experience tickets are also available at the Eventbrite link, but spots are limited.
