Join us at Goat Island Park in Cramerton for the Goat Island Games, a fun-filled event perfect for the entire family! Mark your calendars for Friday, May 2nd and Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 in beautiful Riverfront Downtown Cramerton. Whether you’re looking to compete, enjoy live music, or simply relax with friends and family, there’s something for everyone.


Why Attend? The Goat Island Games offer a mix of outdoor activities, competitions, and entertainment that showcase the best of Cramerton’s scenic charm. Enjoy friendly contests, live music, delicious food from local trucks, and a range of activities for all ages. The picturesque Goat Island Park along the South Fork Catawba River is the perfect backdrop for a day of family fun.


Event Schedule & Activities:


FRIDAY, MAY 2, 2025

Noon - 3pm: 5K/5miler Packet Pick-up C.B. Huss Recreation Center

5 pm - 7 pm: 5K/5miler Packet Pick-up Confluence South Fork

6 pm: Community Yoga by Sweet Peace Yoga (free) Centennial Center

6:30 pm: Group Walk by SHE Runs This Town (free) Meet near Confluence South Fork

7 pm: Disc Golf Putting Contest (free) Centennial Center


SATURDAY, MAY 3, 2025

10 am - 1 pm:  Live music by the Ben Gatlin Duo and craft beer from Cavendish Brewery


Youth and Adult Fishing Tournament

FREE | Starts 7 am - 10 am | Check-In 6:45 am


A fun, early morning activity for all ages! The fishing tournament offers awards for the biggest, smallest, and most fish caught. Participants need to bring their own fishing gear, as poles and bait are not provided.




Goat Island Games 5K and 5miler race

Starts 8:30 am | See registration page for sign in times


Experience the beauty of Cramerton as you race through the scenic downtown area, past the Veteran’s Memorial, and alongside the iconic train trestle. The race course finishes with a downhill stretch through the Lakewood Neighborhood, ending back at Goat Island.




Arts and Crafts

FREE | 8:30 am by Open Studio

Explore local arts and crafts in a creative and fun atmosphere.

Adult Workout

FREE | 9:30 am by Immortal Athletics

Get active with a free adult workout session that’ll help you stay fit while having fun.

 


Ping Pong Tournament

FREE | 10 am


Bring your competitive spirit for a lighthearted ping pong tournament. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner, it’s a fun event for everyone!



Disc Golf Tournament

FREE | Tee times begin 10 am - Noon


Take on the beautiful Goat Island disc golf course for some friendly competition. It’s a great way to enjoy nature while testing your skills.




Mountain Bike Adventure Race

FREE | 10:30 am | by Tarheel Trailblazers


Join the Tarheel Trailblazers for an exciting mountain bike race through Rocky Branch Park. Ride solo or team up with a child to collect as many checkpoints as possible before time runs out.




Goat Island Games Corn Hole Tournament

FREE | 11 am


Grab a partner and join the fun in the cornhole tournament held on Goat Island’s permanent boards.




Pickleball 56+ Mixed Doubles

56 + Mixed Doubles: Noon

55 and Under Mixed Doubles: 1:30 pm

Compete in a fun pickleball tournament for different age groups, whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the sport.
