We are excited to welcome Jason Neese (producer of The Umbrella Academy) to Belmont Bookshop! Jason is celebrating the release of his debut novel, "The Traveling Audience". When Jacob’s twin brother vanishes without a trace, he begins following a trail of impossible postcards scattered across America—cryptic messages that hint at apocalypse, destiny, and something deeply wrong with reality itself. For readers who love strange literary fiction with the emotional weight of American Gods, the existential surrealism of Twin Peaks, and the road-trip intensity of On the Road. JASON NEESE graduated from UNCW with a BFA in writing. He currently lives in Los Angeles and works as a filmmaker. He was co-executive producer for Netflix hit The Umbrella Academy. He co-produced Kevin Costner’s western films Horizon. He also was a producer on Cruel Summer, Dear White People. His festure documentary Kratom: Side Effects May Include comes out in November.
