Horses provide healing at Bit of Hope Ranch. This nonprofit pairs children with therapy teams that include a licensed professional, an equine specialist and a rescue horse. Wellness sessions are available for counseling or physical therapy. Other educational programs include school trips, corporate training, riding lessons and summer camps.
Bit of Hope is a CHA, Certified Horseman’s Association, Site Accredited to ensure the safety of horse and human. The Ranch is located on 50 acres of hardwood and pasture land. The facilities include 2 barns, 2 covered riding arenas and a large grass arena. The Nature Quest Discovery Trails includes 3 miles of wooded trails, a low ropes trail, a large pond with gazebo, a 50' inflatable jump pillow and a 20' tall inflatable dry/wet slide! A Tribal Trail (Sensory Trail) offers clients challenges and learning stations while on horseback and foot. Not ready for the outdoors, enjoy our 900 sqft Wellness Clinic!
The Ranch offers 2 large covered sand arenas for horseback riding and other activities. The Waterfront offers an outdoor playground and the famous Kangaroo Jump Pillow that allows up to 30 people to enjoy bouncing together. The Barnyard houses a petting area for chickens, rabbits and goats. Cozy up with the lit bonfire pit and grill spaces to enjoy the Ranch after hours.
