35th Annual Down Home Festival

Starting Thursday, families can enjoy rides and food vendors from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm during the "Family Night" event. Festival Rides will be located on Pennsylvania Avenue in Downtown Bessemer City. On Friday, the festival's main stage will open with an opening ceremony at 6:00 pm, followed by music from DJ Tim Johnson and a performance by the East Coast Party Band at 7:30 pm. The night will end with closing remarks at 10:00 pm.

The real fun begins on Saturday, with opening festivities and announcements at 12:00 pm. The Little Miss Down Home Festival Pageant will occur from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Bessemer City High School Band performance from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Other performers include the Clint Lanford Band, Kenya Safari Acrobats, DJ Tim Johnson, and Dirty Grass Soul. The night will end with a spectacular fireworks show.
