Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden
At the top of the list of things to do in Belmont, NC is a visit to Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. Located on 380 acres along the banks of Lake Wylie the Garden offers spectacular gardens, sparkling fountains, a conservatory dedicated to the display of tropical plants and orchids, a visitor pavilion, a garden store and nature trails.

Catawba Riverkeeper at Kevin Loftin Park

Guests can enjoy 90 minutes of self-guided paddling on a calm, quiet stretch of the upper part of Lake Wylie – the oldest lake on the Catawba River. This kayaking experience is great for first time paddlers or families with young children.

The Athletics department at Belmont Abbey College. The Abbey Crusaders play in NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas and currently compete in nearly three dozen men's and women's varsity sports. With so many sports, there are home games on campus nearly every night of the week.

The Belmont Juneteenth Celebration is a FREE cultural festival of arts, crafts, music, food and more. Join us at Stowe Park, located in Historic Downtown Belmont. The celebration will include music throughout the day, and a finale concert. Music, art, and culture are the key elements of the festival theme.

A month-long citywide celebration of blossoming bulbs, art, community and culture. Beginning with a parade, Belmont Blooms will also include many other elements.

The Art & Orchids is a yearly event held at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden where visitors can not only view beautiful orchids from the conservatory but also see an incredible art display as well. Each year the art display changes making it worth revisiting year in and year out.
