The Boathouse

The Boathouse is a hub for outdoor experiences. Located at the South Fork Trail Head in McAdenville, NC.

Christmas Town USA

McAdenville’s 650 or so residents go all-out to convert their homes into Christmas Town USA– an achievement that attracts about 600,000 visitors. Drive the half-mile route – free of charge – to see 375-plus trees strung with more than 500,000 red, green and white lights. Christmas Town, USA finished 4th in the “Best Public Holiday Lights Display in the USA” contest, sponsored by USA Today.

ChristmasTown 5K - 2020 Virtual Run

The 2020 race will be virtual only. Register to run 3.1 miles on our course or elsewhere. Runners who register before November 1st will receive this year's ChristmasTown 5K runners shirt. All runners will receive a digital bib they can personalize and print out to use before running. Run your 5K anywhere you are, or on our official course the week of 11/21 to 11/28. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for ways to submit your photos and videos showing off your 5K accomplishment.

Christmas Town U.S.A.


Each season the quaint town of McAdenville becomes a Christmas wonderland. Attracting visitors from across the country, more than 375 trees and nearly all the community homes are lit in spectacular fashion. Over 600,000 annual visitors walk along the wreath-lined route through the center of town.

Terra Mia in McAdenville is an Italian delight. They pride themselves on providing pizza dough and pasta made fresh daily.


South Fork Trail

2 Miles One Way

Adjacent to the South Fork River. The trail goes under the I-85 bridge and through woods along the river.
