Green clouds, green water, and green clothes
The U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) invites you to take part in the Color Me Green 5K Trail Run, scheduled to proceed rain or shine on the Saturday before St Patrick's Day, March 13th, 2021. Prepare to dodge or score as much or as little green powder at this 5K trail run and snag an award if you finish as the cleanest or greenest racer. Leprechaun sightings are always possible.
The race will start at 8 am and racers may enter the course at any time during this time window and must finish by 12:00 pm. Racers are encouraged to bring enough hydration and fuel for pre-race, during race and post-race. All guests are required to pay a $6 parking fee at the Whitewater Center unless they have an annual parking pass.

After the race hit Mount Holly
Extend the fun and make it a day! After the race head into Mount Holly, only a short drive, and grab lunch in town at JackBeagle's or grab a sweet treat at Queen Bee Bakery (open until 3pm) or a beer at The Summit Beer Shop.

Make it a Day
Turn the race into an all day adventure by hoping on the Ridgeline Craft Beverage Trail and spend the day sipping the area's finest hand made craft beverages. Please do your research, some of the locations along the trail require reservations due to COVID.

Welcome out of town visitors. If you are looking for a place to stay we have two brand new hotels located just off I-85 and close to the Whitewater Center. Fairfield Inn & Suites is located along Hwy 273 in Mount Holly and Home2 Suites is also close by in Belmont.
