The Schiele Museum in Gastonia Creates a Perfect Holiday Experience

Spend your holidays with us at The Schiele Museum! Special Holiday programs are being offered throughout the month of December that are perfect for families and meeting up with friends!

The Schiele Museum is offering visitors new ways to celebrate this holiday season! A special Holiday Farm Friends program will kick-off the festivities on December 4. Participants will get to meet a variety of live cute and cuddly farm friends like goats, chicks, ducklings, and bunnies. Enjoy up-close and personal opportunities with many of the animals in hands-on environment. Plus, enjoy the gardens, holiday greenery and live animal displays around The Farm. Fun and learning for the entire family

For those looking for a wholesome, family outing, get your tickets for the Holidays on the Farm program. This special evening program is a fun way for the family to gather outdoors and see the Farm decked out in its holiday finery!

On December 10 and 11, visitors will have the opportunity to meet live animals, learn about local Christmas traditions, and even have the chance to take their picture with one of our festive farm animals! They’ll be able to cozy up to the campfire with a cup of hot cocoa or cider, or even purchase a beer to enjoy during their visit! Last minute Christmas gifts will be available for purchase in the “Farm Shop” during those evenings.

“We are looking forward to showcasing the Farm this December fundraiser,” said Elysabeth Utick, Director of Development. “The lights and decorations, along with seeing farm animals, and the program will be a fun way for families to experience the Farm and start a new holiday tradition.”

Holidays on the Farm is an outdoor, evening experience that allows guests to utilize their time on the Farm on areas that interest them most. They can stroll about and take photos at various vignettes, visit with the animals, and enjoy the campfire with family and friends.

Another fun way to kick off the holiday season is to see a Laser Music Show from December 3 – 11. Experience your favorite holiday, pop, rock, classic, and country music like never before! Music will come alive under the planetarium’s immersive dome through state-of-the-art laser graphics and live 360 degree lighting. A Holiday Classics program will feature favorite holiday tunes set to laser and digital artwork will be offered throughout the week and is appropriate for all ages.

Additional programs are scheduled during the day along with some special evening shows. Programs will feature country music, classic rock, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, and even the iconic laser show band Pink Floyd with “Dark Side of the Moon” and “The Wall” programs!
