2026 HV3 Invitational Brings Elite Junior Golf to Gaston County, March 21-22

Gaston County will welcome approximately 150 junior golfers for the 2026 HV3 Invitational on March 21–22. The annual tournament, hosted by the HV3 Foundation and founded by Harold Varner III, will be played at Gaston Country Club and Cramer Mountain Club.


Now in its seventh year, the HV3 Invitational has become one of North Carolina’s premier junior golf tournaments, attracting players from across the region and beyond.



A Premier Junior Golf Tournament in North Carolina

With a field of about 150 competitors, the 2026 HV3 Invitational brings a high level of play to Gaston County. The two host venues offer championship-caliber layouts that challenge top junior talent while showcasing the strength of local golf.


Gaston County is home to several standout golf courses, and hosting this tournament highlights the depth and quality of the area’s golf offerings.


For many players, the event represents more than just competition. It is an opportunity to compete in a professionally organized tournament founded by a professional golfer who grew up in Gastonia. Harold Varner III created the event to give back to his hometown and help open doors for the next generation of golfers. Through the HV3 Foundation, he supports youth development initiatives, educational opportunities, and access to the game of golf for young people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to compete.
