Riverside Greenway

This segment of the Thread Trail winds along the bank of the South Fork River. The land for this trail was donated by Burlington. Walkers, runners, and bikers will enjoy exercising along a variety of surface types, including pavement, boardwalk, and community sidewalk. The trail ends at the Southern Railroad overpass where hikers can make the loop around a clearing and walk back to the trailhead.

This park in Cramerton offers 300 feet of South Fork River frontage with a kayak launch, a 1-mile paved walking path, basketball court, and a fishing pier.

Cramerton

Cramerton is a small town located in the Greater Charlotte area of North Carolina, inside Gaston County nestled along the South Fork River to the south of and in between Belmont and McAdenville. Visitors can access Cramerton and all it has to offer via I-85 off of 26 through Belmont or exit 23 by traveling through McAdenville. Highway 74 also runs just north of town and straight into Charlotte if you are looking for a more scenic route.

Riverside Greenway is a paved surface trail following Riverside Drive in the Town of Cramerton. This 1.3-mile, out-and-back trail is great for a walk, run, or ride with the family. The trail features a picnic area, restrooms, and nearby water access.
